Resources & FAQ

Practical answers before you commit to project development.

Carbon-credit development is a documented claims process. These answers set realistic expectations and help facility teams prepare useful evidence.

01

Does reducing emissions automatically create credits?

No. A reduction must meet the chosen programme and methodology rules, including eligibility, additionality, monitoring and independent review requirements.

02

Are the assessment results binding?

No. The online screen is preliminary. It is designed to surface promising characteristics and early blockers for expert review.

03

What records should we prepare?

Start with fuel and electricity invoices, meter readings, production records, equipment specifications, commissioning evidence, permissions and dated approval or investment documents.

04

Can a project be registered twice?

The same emission reduction must not be double counted. Existing or planned registration in another programme requires careful review.

05

How long does issuance take?

There is no universal timeline. Readiness, monitoring duration, validation and verification findings, registry processing and programme rules all affect timing.

06

What is a carbon credit worth?

Value varies by programme, project attributes, vintage, buyer requirements and market conditions. KarbonSetu does not present an unsupported price as a forecast.
